The G.R. Little Library is an attractive center for the intellectual life of the campus and community. Located at the Parkview & Cooke Drives campus entrance, it is readily accessible to all library patrons.

The Library houses a store of informational resources in various formats especially selected to support the university’s curriculum, research thrust and strategic development plan. Its holdings exceed 192,000 book volumes and 1,700 serial titles; holdings also include various micro-formats, films and videotapes, and sound and disc recordings.

The Horizon online, integrated computer system provides access to the General, Reference and Juvenile collections. A wide array of media equipment provides access to other information formats and supports campus-wide media production and presentation needs. Supplements to the library’s direct holdings include interlibrary loans, worldwide internet access to the computerized catalogs of other libraries, and on-line electronic databases. Increasingly, many of these access points are available from remote sites.

The Director of Library Services directs the activities of a staff comprised of professional librarians and trained support staff whose aim it is to assist in guiding each library patron to the specific resources needed at any given time.
