Walter R. Davis School of Business and Economics (SBE) offers two
degree programs.
The BS in Accounting degree is a four-year degree requiring 124 semester hours to complete.
Some accounting students double major in Business Administration in order to earn the 150 semester hours required to become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Other accounting degree graduates continue their education by pursuing a graduate degree.
However the majority of the accounting degree graduates find employment either with corporations in the finance area or with the government.
The BS in Business Administration degree prepares students to become managers with concentrations in one of seven different areas.
Many students choose more than one concentration, but this options requires an additional twelve semester hours.
Some Business Administration graduates continue their education by pursuing a graduate degree, and many others take courses to prepare a foundation for graduate study after a few years of work experience.
Graduates of the program find themselves in high demand by both businesses and government agencies.
