The ECSU SIFE Chapter is dedicated to public service and teaching students
about free enterprise. SIFE is a non-profit organization supported
by individuals, foundations, and
corporations. We utilize a team approach to teach others throughout
the
community about the importance of the free enterprise system. We
believe
this approach better prepares students for success by allowing them to gain
real world experience.
As part of our mission we want to call attention to national debt.
The federal government has run a budget deficit every year since
1969, increasing the national debt to over five trillion dollars.
The surpluses that are forecast for future years, should be used to reduce the national debt.
The national debt robs future generations by saddling them with ever-rising interest payments instead of a healthy economy. To
