The Sea Education Sailing Ship
Corwith Cramer
Cruise

During the summer of 2003, Dr. Francisco San Juan, Professor and Department Chair joined educators from other universities, crew of the sailing ship Corwith Cramer, Administrators from SEA Education, and former SEA education students on a 4 day  from Woods Hole in Cape Cod to north of Long Island.  The purpose of this trip is to expose educators to the learning environment of SEA students.  The first part of every course is classroom component which can last for several weeks.  The second, and most exciting one is the actual research cruise, where hands-on work is required,  putting classroom knowledge to practical skills.  Our first graduate in our Marine Environmental Science program is presently enrolled in a SEA Education course.
