Visiting the Savannah River Site was a very exciting trip. We got a chance to see some of the things being done to correct some of their environmental problems. The trip was well organized and very educational. We were able to get an overview of the different things that they are able to do at the site. There were classroom settings where we learned about the different programs that were offered. We also had a chance to go out to the field and see some of the clean projects in operation.
Overall, the trip was very educational, and I feel honored that the staff took time out of their schedules to us a great tour of the SRS facilities.
