| Mission Statement Goals Weekend/Evening College Advisory Committee |
|
The Weekend/Evening College offers full-time and/or part-time employed persons an opportunity to pursue a college education by attending classes during the weekend and/or evening. The curriculum is designed to meet the various academic needs of the non-traditional student: those with an incomplete college education, those who have associate degrees and wish to pursue a baccalaureate degree, those high school graduates who have never enrolled in college before, and those in-service teachers who need courses for renewal or licensure. Students may also pursue a non-degree program for purposes such as personal enrichment and occupational advancement. The Weekend/Evening College promotes excellence in teaching so that students receive the same quality of instruction that students receive in the traditional courses. This excellence in teaching permeates an academically challenging environment geared toward preparing students for becoming contributing members of an ever-changing technologically oriented society. |
| The Weekend/Evening College will continue to offer full-time and/or part-time employed persons an opportunity to pursue a college education by attending classes during the weekend and/or evening. Excellence will permeate all activities so that students receive the same quality of instruction that students receive in traditional courses. Adjunct faculty will be afforded opportunities to participate in professional development activities comparable to those of regular faculty. |
