Welcome to the
Office of Design and Construction. Our mission is to manage capital
improvements for Elizabeth City State University. We are responsible for
selecting appropriate design and construction firms to execute the projects set
forth in the university Master Plan and to execute projects funded for
Repairs and Renovations.
In November 2000, a referendum was passed by the
citizens of the State of North
Carolina to fund major renovations in the University of North Carolina
system to handle the anticipated increase in student enrollment over the
next 15 years. Nineteen projects totaling $46.3 million were
approved for Elizabeth City State University. Work on these projects
began in early 2001.
