The Assistant
to the Chancellor for Planning, Research, and Outreach leads the support
for university planning, assessment and evaluation, as well as additional
research on pertinent issues and topics of necessity and interest. The
office of Institutional Research and Assessment, which includes the Center
for Institutional Assessment, is a critical unit that provides assistance
with:
- Data collection,
analysis and dissemination;
- Design and
implementation of internal and external studies;
- Design and
monitoring of assessment of effectiveness plans; and
- Coordinating
updates to the University's statistical profile.
Mission Statement
The purpose of
Planning, Research, and Outreach is to support the mission of the University
by coordinating University planning and evaluation, institutional effectiveness,
and community outreach. The unit will assist, when requested, with data
collection; analysis; dissemination; design and implementation of internal
and external studies; preservation of records/archives; design and monitoring
of assessment of effectiveness plans; and coordination of community outreach.
