Department of Social Science

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Department of Social Sciences Website. The Department confers Baccalaureate degrees in the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work and Criminal Justice. Additionally, the Department provides students with an opportunity to minor in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, Gerontology and Sociology (21-26 semester credit hours are needed for a minor).

Located within the School of Arts and Humanities, the principal objective of the Department is the academic and social preparation of undergraduate students. This preparation provides our students with a liberal arts education while preparing them to enter the work force, graduate and professional schools.
