Social Work Program

An important aspect of student professional growth and development is participation in the academic and professional organizations established for students at the University.

Social Work Program Honor Society

The Pi Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha at ECSU offers membership to social work students, faculty, and practitioners. Students in the Social Work Program who express interest in this organization must achieve sophomore status and formally declare social work as their major and have a Grade Point Average of 3.25 in required pre-professional and professional social work courses. 

Social Work Club

The Social Work Club's primary focus is community service and outreach. For example, some of the activities sponsored by the Social Work Club included an Annual Food Drive which was held during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays,a Coat Drive to assist individuals and families in the community with clothing needs, and the "Adopt The Street Program".
