Opportunities for Growth

Internships transform students into business people by exposing them to the world of work. Business Administration and Accounting majors who have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have completed BUAD 260 successfully are eligible for transformational internship experiences. Students may have internship experiences of either a paid or unpaid variety. Internships are available during the Fall, Spring and Summer terms. Credit for internships is determined by the number of hours involved. Internships for 3 credits require a minimum of 150 hours of substantive work with a company. Internships for six credits require a minimum of 300 hours of substantive work with a company. Each credit-bearing internship must be approved in advance by the internship coordinator and/or the Dean. Internship courses may require additional papers, projects, readings or other student work on top of the hours worked at the firm in order to earn credit. For more information about internships, see the Internship Coordinator.

Student Organizations

The SBE is home to several student organizations. SBE students are also eligible for induction into Sigma Beta Delta honor society. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities presented by these organizations to transform themselves into businesspeople. More information about these organizations can be found here.
