Symbol and Meaning

School of Business and Economics SymbolThe SBE has uses the Adinkra symbol to the left as its symbol. The symbol is known as the nkyinkyim. The symbol represents dynamism, initiative and versatility. These three elements are critical to the transformation that our students undergo.

Transformation and Dynamism

Dynamism is a sign of energy and power. Our faculty members bring a great deal of energy to the classroom and to creating a transformational learning experience for our students

Transformation and Initiative

Just as that one degree of difference between 211 and 212 changes water to steam, our students learn the transformational power that initiative can have on their careers.

Transformation and Versatility

Our core courses expose students to a variety of areas of business, helping them to become conversant in the language and conduct of business. This exposure improves their versatility. That versatility makes them valuable to their future employers.
