The Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) located in the Willie and Jacqueline Gilchrist Education &Psychology Complex 210, is used to support the teaching, research, educational, and professional needs of faculty, staff, and students of Helen Marshall Caldwell Department Education, Psychology & Health at Elizabeth City State University.

The CMC is a resource library for students in the Teacher Education Program; as well as students majoring in other areas within the department. The resources available in the CMC are complimentary and foster the objectives of the Teacher Education Program. The Curriculum Materials Center provides representative P-12 materials for preview, review, analysis and circulation. The room contains a wide variety of math manipulative and science hands-on activities designed to meet the science and math instructional needs of teachers for in-house use or on a loan basis.

The resources of the Center are used to assist Teacher Education majors and faculty in preparing lesson plans, lesson units, lesson demonstrations, class syllabi, audiovisual projects, and other classroom activities. The Curriculum Materials Center plays a unique and integral role in the educational process of current and future educators. All Elizabeth City State University students, staff, and faculty are invited to use the Curriculum Materials Center.
