Applying for NC License

New Online System

Beginning August 1, 2015 new and existing professional educators must apply for and update North Carolina licenses online. Additional information is available within the online licensure system.

The following items are needed to apply for NC Teaching License online:

  • Certification of Teaching Capacity Form (all signatures needed, must scan to upload to new online system)
  • Official Transcript(s) (licensure-only students must also upload an official transcript from where degree was received, degree-seeking students transcript must be degree dated, must scan to upload to new online system)
  • Passing Praxis II Scores (if applicable)
  • Credit Card Payment in the amount of $55

 All forms included in the student teacher, Cooperating Teacher and University Supervisor Packets must be submitted to the Office of Teacher Education.

The EPP does not receive notification once you have submitted an application.  For prompt approval, please contact the Office of Teacher Education.
