F. L. Robinson Auditorium
Campus-based Music Department performances occur in Robinson Auditorium. Robinson Auditorium is named after Floyd L. Robinson, former Chair of the Music Department. The 1000 seat venue has a medium size public address (PA) system that features 24 channels of input, two monitor mixes, Crown amplifiers and JBL speakers and monitors. In addition, the auditorium boasts an impressive Strand Lighting system.
A State-of-the-art Recording studio based around Pro Tools HD and an SSL Matrix console that presents the best of both digital and analog. Along with having a great plug-in collection for mixing in-the-box the studio also features nice preamps, hardware compressors and EQ's, 2 analog tape machines, and an outstanding microphone collection including Neumann, Audio Technica, Shure, and AKG. Monitors include large far field Urei's and near field Mackie HR824's for accurate tracking and mixing.
Graphic Design Lab
The Graphic Design Lab is one of two state-of-the art lab facilities used by ECSU Graphic Design students. Here you’ll find 32” monitors on the Apple Mac OS, with industry standard software like, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Muse; Autodesk Maya, etc. Students learn to develop print communication design like: magazines, posters, bill boards, logos, etc. They also design for the screen, e.g., websites, motion graphics, digital video editing, 3D modeling and animation, and app development. Peripherals include large-format plotters, printers, scanners, SmartBoard, LCD projectors, Internet access, etc.
