Transfer Admissions Requirements
Applicants at the time of enrollment that have at least 24 transferable you must:
- Submit an official college transcript(s) for all colleges attended or attempted coursework
- Have a 2.00 cumulative college GPA from the last school attended
Applicants at the time of enrollment that have less than 24 transferable hours and under the age of 21 you must:
- Submit official final high school transcript, official SAT/ACT test scores and have met the Minimum Admission Requirements (MARs) and Minimum Course requirements (MCRs):
- Minimum Admission Requirements (MARs):
- Completed high school with at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA OR
- 1010 SAT or ACT Composite 19
- Minimum Course Requirements (MCRs) :
- Four units of English
- Four units of Math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and an Advanced Math)
- Three units of Science (Biological Science, Physical Science, and a Science with a Lab)
- Two units of Social Studies, including one unit of US History
- Two units of Foreign Language (same)
- Submit an official college transcript(s) for all colleges attended or attempted coursework
- Have a 2.00 cumulative College GPA from the last school attended
For applicants who have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, you must:
- Submit an official college transcript(s) for all colleges attended or attempted coursework
- Have a 2.00 cumulative College GPA from the last school attended
The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement enables North Carolina community college graduates of two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs who are admitted to constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina to transfer, having completed the general education core.
