The University Archives photographic holdings total an estimated 6,000 images that provide a visual record of Elizabeth City State University's people, places, and events. A large part of the collection is processed and entered in a searchable database.
The University Archives seeks to promote education and an appreciation for the value of historical photographs through public use of images held by the Collection. On-site researchers are welcome to browse the collection by name, keyword, or date. Access to the Photographic Archives is provided to all researchers on an equal basis. Pictorial research and image use is subject to the following guidelines.
- Researchers may request digital scans or quality ink jet prints of images in the collections. Please review the detailed information supplied on the University Archives Policy and Forms web pages before making your request.
- Photographic prints or negatives may not be borrowed from the archives.
- Digitally displayed images on the University Archives web site are supplied for reference and informational purposes only.
