Career Opportunities

  • The field of pharmacy is experiencing unprecedented growth, and the role of the pharmacist touches every aspect of health care. Graduates from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy will have the opportunity to work in a variety of pharmacy fields, including community, health system, manage care, and long-term care pharmacy. In addition, there are many opportunities for careers in academia, drug development, drug information, and pharmaceutical sales.

Jobs and Internships:

  • Wachovia Pharmacy Fellows Program - The Fellows participated in enrichment programs through the NC-MSEN Pre-College Program in cooperation with the UNC-Chapel Hill/ECSU Doctor of Pharmacy Partnership Program.
  • Drug Information Center (DIC) - DIC has a strong academic component designed to enable students to gain experience in provision of drug information to enable utilization of drug information skills and resources.
  • ECSU Health Resource Center - is a partnership with the Elizabeth City Housing Authority to reduce health disparities with focus on risk reduction related to diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity.
