North Carolina Green Economy Initiative
Meeting of the Albemarle-Pamlico Conservation and Communities Collaborative at K.E. White Center. The Center for Research and Evaluation is currently focusing its efforts on the North Carolina Green Economy Initiative.
This project will join together existing public and private organizations in a unique partnership to stimulate economic development and job creation in the short-term, while laying the groundwork for sustained, and sustaina-ble, green economic growth in the region in the long-term.
The project aims to increase the number of businesses producing or providing Green-related goods and services in the region, the number of workers employed in those businesses, and increase consumer and business knowledge, interest in, and use of, Green-related goods and services. These goals will be achieved through a variety of methods, including extensive outreach activities, job and entrepreneurship training, and trade exhibitions.
We will be providing updates through this website as the project progresses.
