What is the Center for Research and Evaluation? The CRE combines the talents of Elizabeth City State University's faculty to promote faculty and student grant-writing and research, effective academic programs, and the economic, environmental, and social health of northeastern North Carolina. These goals are achieved through the ongoing development and maintenance of a research infrastructure for data collection and analysis and through collaboration with faculty and others on the design, implementation, and analysis of behavioral and social science research and program evaluations. The CRE functions as a contact point for both on-campus and off-campus research projects, with the expertise of interested faculty matched to the needs of specific projects.
