Description:
The Women’s Safety Initiative is a project within the Department of Social Sciences at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU). Launched in 2005, our mission is to provide information, educational programs, and resources to combat violence against women on campus and in the Albemarle area. This is accomplished with funding from the Office on Violence against Women, U.S. Department of Justice, and through partnerships with local law enforcement and victim service agencies.
