T3 Electric Stand Up Vehicles

T3 Electric Stand Up Vehicles

In 2012, ECSU purchased "T3 ESV" - T3 Electric Stand up Vehicles. These battery powered vehicles boast a substantially low cost of operation; each T3 uses about 1.5 kilowatt of electricity to fully recharge. An energy-efficient electric motor gets the equivalent of over 500 miles a gallon, and the vehicle's belt drive system is designed for low maintenance. The electrical recharge costs for a distance of 10,000 miles is less than $60 total, offering both significant savings for the university, as well as a much lower environmental impact.
