Tuition and Fees


Tuition and fees are due prior to official registration, which is August 1, 2016 for the fall semester and January 3, 2017 for the spring semester. All students are expected to meet their financial obligations to the University promptly. It is each student's responsibility to keep parents or guardians informed of all statements of accounts if the parents or guardians are paying the bills. Parents can be set up as authorized users on Self Service Banner to review and print the bills as they deem necessary. All billing is electronic and students must pay their bill timely to prevent schedule cancellations.

If you have not accepted your financial aid, set up payment plans as required or completed your payment by the August 1 deadline, your classes will be cancelled for non-payment. Please Note: If you have not completed your FASFA, you will not be awarded financial aid. The awarding of financial aid does not prevent your classes from dropping; financial aid is not recognized as a source of payment until you complete all financial aid requirements. Students utilizing financial aid as a source of payment should check for any unsatisfied requirements and complete those urgently. Students should check to determine if they have been selected for verification and submit those documents promptly.

A monthly interest charges of five (5%) of the outstanding balance each month will be assessed on all balances. Students with balances after the start of the session will incur a one-time late payment fee after the start of the semester of ten percent (10%) of the balance on the account.

Note: A fifty percent (50%) tuition surcharge will be imposed on all student taking more than 110 percent of the credit hours to complete a baccalaureate degree in any program officially designated by the Board of Governors as a five-year program.

Note: The Health Insurance Fee will be charged to all students enrolled in six or more credit hours. Students who have a comparable health insurance plan should log onto http://www.bcbsnc.com/student to waive the fee by September 30 for the fall semester and January 30 for the spring semester.

Book rental: $181.05 per semester (optional) for undergraduate students only and charged in advance for all students enrolled full-time. To have the fee removed, contact the Office of Student Accounts via email at bursar@ecsu.edu. Please send communication using your campus email account.
