Admissions Standards Study Group

The new admission standards study group is charged with the responsibility to examine the possible consequences of raising the minimum student scores required for admission into Elizabeth City State University.  Based upon matched demographic and admission data, the group will conduct comparative analyses with other institutions of higher education.  The new admission standards study group will also propose programs that will allow for ECSU to raise its minimum entrance score requirements and still fulfill its original Mission Statement.  This group will deliver to Chancellor Gilchrist a detailed report on how raising student admission standards may impact student recruitment, retention, and overall graduation rates at Elizabeth City State University.
