The
Office of Career Services, located in the H.L. Trigg
Building, aides students at various stages of their
career with decision-making, exploration, and the job
search process. A variety of programs and services exists
to assist students in defining their career objectives
and finding out about the current job market while learning
how to conduct a job search for employment.
In
addition to the career decision and exploration services,
Career Services provides extensive assistance with workshops
on interviewing, resume writing, and business etiquette.
The
Office of Career Services disseminates information concerning
available jobs and handles all arrangements when employers
visit the campus to interview students. On-campus recruiting
is scheduled through this office during the Fall and
Spring semesters. Students can also make valuable employment
contacts at the Annual Career Fair, the Graduate &
Professional School Day, the Summer Job Fair, and the
Annual Teacher Job Fair. Alumni may also receive career
assistance through Career Services on employment vacancy
listings.
Career
Resources, a wealth of career information, is available
in the Career Services Library. Printed information
on employment trends, future outlooks, company literature,
and school system applications as well as audio visual
materials is available for all students and alumni to
review.
