It is our pleasure to assist you in your academic, personal, and professional development. Our staff are committed to the support, growth, and advocacy of all ECSU students. Students often land in the Dean of Students Office when they are not clear about where to turn for help because we can help you work through many questions and concerns regarding navigating the university policies and procedures and personal life choices.
The Office of the Dean of Students is directly responsible for:
- Student Conduct and Community Standards
- Student Rights and Responsibilities
- Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (C.A.R.E.) Team
- Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)/Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT)
- Alcohol and Other Drugs Education and Prevention Team
- Leading student advocacy efforts

Individuals who believe they have experienced or witnessed crimes, University policy violations, acts of sexual misconduct, or other questionable incidents related to student behavior are encouraged to report these incidents to appropriate University resources. If you have questions about how or whether to report, a representative of the Office of the Dean of Students is available to meet with you.
Everyone is encouraged to contact the Elizabeth City State University Police Department
