New & Transfer Student Orientation
The Office of the Dean of Students coordinates the New & Transfer Student Orientation program (NTSO) for new freshmen and transfer students. NTSO introduces new students to university programs and services, provides an opportunity for new students to interact with staff, faculty, and administrators, and allots time for academic advisement and registration for classes.
During NTSO, new students also receive information about being successful at ECSU, meet with an academic adviser, and register for classes. All new students are required to attend an orientation program prior to enrolling in the Fall or Spring semester.
