Getting A Room

 

Returning Residents

  1.  Pay the $150 non-refundable Housing Application Fee:
        Payment options:
    • Pay online and complete your application 
    • In person to the Cashier (cash, check or money order) Thorpe Administration Bldg., 1st floor
    • By mail (check or money order) Cashier, Campus Box 950, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 (Include your banner ID & specify that your payment is for your Housing Application Fee)

  2.  Once your payment has been processed, you will complete Self Assignment according to the date assigned to your CURRENT classification. Payments must be made 48 hours prior to your Self-Assignment date.
    •  April 2, 2019, Room Retention (keep your current room; not guaranteed)
    • April 3, 2019, Current Seniors
    • April 4, 2019, Current Juniors
    • April 9, 2019 Current Sophomores
    • April 10, 2019, Current Freshmen
    • April 14, 2019 Overflow

  3.  You must be pre-registered for Fall 2019 in order to complete Self-Assignment

  4.  If you do not complete Self-Assignment, HRL will make your assignment based on room availability and you may check your assignment online.

 

New Students

You must be admitted to ECSU prior to applying for housing.

  2.  Complete the Housing Application

  3.  Housing & Residence Life will notify you when your assignment has been made.  You will be given instructions on how to check your assignment.

 

Residence Hall Check-In

 

1. Students checking into our residence halls should unload all of their belongings in the designated areas.

2. Parking in front of the halls is limited.  If possible, an individual should stay with the belongings while the vehicle is moved to the lot reserved for move-in.

3. Students should report to the check-in area for their residence hall assignments and present identification.

4. Students will be asked to complete the following:

  • Residence cards (includes names, addresses and phone numbers of emergency contact)
  • Room Condition Report (an inventory of your new room's condition)

5. Students will receive their room key(s) and keyless access.
