An accomplished educator, Tomisha Brock has led superior instrumental and vocal ensembles on the public school level in Virginia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Her work as an Independent Praxis Consultant has helped numerous teacher candidates and current educators achieve full licensure in their field. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Music Education at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.

In October, 2013, she was honored by the Northeastern North Carolina chapter of the National Council of Negro Women, receiving the Black Pearls "Unsung Hero" Award for outstanding contributions in the category of Arts and Sciences.

Tomisha has served as a guest clinician and adjudicator at several events, to include: Northeast Regional High Stepping Championships, North Carolina Show-style Band State Competition, and others.

Currently, she serves as President of the Intercollegiate Music Association (IMA), and holds active and associate memberships in the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA), Women Band Directors International (WBDI), HBCU National Band Directors Consortium (HBCU-NBDC), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and several other professional and civic organizations.
