This year, Elizabeth City State University celebrated 130 years of providing higher education opportunities for some of the most talented and dedicated students in northeastern North Carolina and beyond.  It was also a milestone year for the ECSU Foundation, Inc., which was established five decades ago to provide financial assistance to students, as well as enduring support to our entire campus community.

During the past 15 years, the Founders Day Scholarship Gala has helped raise more than $1.4 million for student scholarships. With the continuous support and engagement of our partners and donors, we hope to ensure an even brighter future for ECSU students and fuel a culture of growth throughout the region.

Nominations for the 2022 ECSU Chancellor’s Legacy Award, which recognizes exceptional contributions by alumni and supporters of the university are open now until January 21, 2022.

The Chancellor’s Legacy Awards program, organized by the Office of the Chancellor in partnership with the ECSU Foundation, Inc., recognizes individuals, business and/or corporations and foundations who have best demonstrated the standard of excellence that defines and shapes ECSU as an institution.  Recipients will be recognized on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the ECSU Foundation, Inc. Founders Day Scholarship Gala XV.
