In-depth study of bacterial, plant and animal viruses, with a concentration on human pathogens. Emphasis is placed on classification structure, replication and the molecular basis of pathogenesis. Prerequisites: Microbiology, Genetics, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry or Consent of Instructor.
