BIOL 516: Medical Microbiology (3)

Pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human pathogens, including bacteria, protozoa and fungi. Emphasis will be on sources and properties of alkaloids, glycosides, steroids and antibiotics.Prerequisite: Introductory Microbiology and one year of Organic Chemistry or Consent of Instructor.
