RS 503: Digital Image Processing and Analysis: (3)

Topics covered include principles of electro-optical imaging, image data processing including image visualization and statistics extraction, radiometric and geometric correction, image enhancement, image classification, artificial intelligence-based information extraction, multi-spectral image analysis, change detection, and thematic map accuracy assessment. Application specific image processing methods will be introduced. State-of-the-art commercial image processing software will be used for applications development. Prerequisite: RS 501 and 502 and permission of the instructor
