Effective July 1, 2009, the number of courses eligible for the Tuition Waiver program is reduced from three to two courses per academic year as defined by Senate Bill 202, The Appropriations Act of 2009 (Session Law 2009-451).
Effective July 24, 2009, the minimum wage will become $7.25 per hour. Employers in North Carolina are required to pay employees at $6.55 until July 24, 2009, when the new rate increases to $ 7.25. Hiring managers should plan accordingly the information on RFPA prior to submitting to the Budget Office for approval. Managers who already submitted forms with dates past the above referenced dates should amend accordingly or discuss the adjustments that will need to be made.

Change in Submission of Time Sheets - It has become necessary to change the due dates of time sheets in order to continue our work in HR Banner Payroll; therefore, effective immediately, all time sheets and leave request forms are due in Human Resources by the end of the second business day beginning May 4. Other critical due dates are June 2, July 2, August 4, September 2, etc.
In order to comply with a SACS mandate, EPA Non-Teaching employees were requested to submit an updated resume to Human Resources immediately. The final deadline is June 30 for all resumes to be received.
