Email vs. Domain Account

Email/Domain Account for Faculty & Staff

Faculty and Staff use Microsoft Outlook Web App to access their ECSU email account. The campus domain account is used to log into a campus computer to access local resources. The two accounts have the same username and password (changing one password automatically changes the other).

Email/Domain Account for Students

Students use Gmail to access their ECSU email account. The campus domain account gives students access to local resources such as logging into a computer in the computer lab, accessing the campus network from their dorm room, and/or accessing remotely to the library electronic databases. The two accounts have the same username; however, they are unrelated. The passwords have to be synced manually by the student (changing one password does not automatically change the other).
