This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more. Academic Search Premier offers peer-reviewed full text journals and critical information from many sources unique to this database. It is a multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Cabell's Directories is an easy point of reference when preparing to publish a manuscript. The directory helps scholars identify journals for publication and guides users in evaluating journal quality. They also provide links directing you to guidelines and submission information.

Economic Development Information System

Provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps you identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research.

LexisNexis Academic
Provides access to full-text news, business, and legal publications. Access over 6,000 news, business, and legal sources. The news coverage includes deep backfiles and up-to-the-minute stories in national and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English language sources. The Company Dossier module retrieves detailed company information and financial performance measures and can identify and compare companies matching specific criteria. This product also provides access to the renowned Shepard's Citations® service for all federal and states court cases back to 1789.

Mergent Intellect/First Research
Intellect is a business intelligence application that provides access to private and public U.S and international business data, industry news, facts and figures, executive contact information, and industry profiles. Intellect is powered by the same Dun & Bradstreet® data found in Hoover'sTM, and includes content from First Research®. Intellect allows users to build lists of up to 250 records for export or to print. Intellect also includes residential record search and list building capabilities not currently offered in the Hoover's product

Regional Accounts Data - Local Area Personal Income
Provided by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, U.S. Dept. of Commerce. Personal income and population summary estimates; detailed county annual tables of income and employment; and wage and salary summary estimates. For North Carolina-specific information, select "North Carolina" from the list of states. County-level information will be displayed once you select the state.

Small Business Reference Center provides up to date information on relevant topics from starting a company, operations management and sales to growing or rescuing a business. Advice is given on small business and entrepreneurial subject areas, common business types, a help and advice section, and provides information on how to create business plans that lead to successful funding.
