ECSU Newsroom is Live and Ready for Viewers

ECSU Newsroom

Elizabeth City State University’s first newsroom,, website is live and delivering all of the latest university news and photos straight to your computer.

It was late last month, after nearly one year of planning and designing, that the ECSU Office of Communications and Marketing launched the site, posting a number of stories, and photo galleries, with more to come. The newsroom site is designed to be ECSU’s go-to source for news and information, and to celebrate the Viking Spirit.

Like with Viking News, found on the ECSU website, the newsroom will deliver news about students, faculty, alumni, athletics, and more. In the near future readers of the site can expect to see special features written by faculty and staff, like Prof. Glen Bowman and his in-depth history of ECSU.

Not all stories are words and that’s why a photo gallery feature is included in the newsroom, giving you the opportunity to view multiple images from your favorite events. There is also a video feature where, more and more, videos of ECSU events will be posted for viewing.

Other features will include future podcasts of some of your favorite WRVS radio shows.

On campus, employees and students will continue to receive the emailed ECSU News feature. The email will include a photograph, a headline, and a few introductory paragraphs with a link to the rest of the story, found on the newsroom site.

Stories will also continue to be posted under the Viking News tab on the university’s main website, with a link to the entire newsroom story. Stories will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter, linking back to the newsroom site.

New stories and photos will be posted regularly throughout the week. To view ECSU’s Newsroom, VISIT THE SITE HERE.
