Parents and Families Weekend
October 9-11, 2009
Dazzling fall leaves, warm Indian summer days, and cool nights mean it's time for Elizabeth City State University's annual Parents and Families Weekend. You are invited to come get acquainted with other ECSU families, learn more about all aspects of campus life, and enjoy the ECSU experience with your student.
Parents and families are an important part of the Viking Family, and we look forward to welcoming you to campus to see why your student's years at ECSU will help him or her to elevate higher and emerge stronger in preparation for a lifetime of success. The weekend will provide an opportunity for you to swap stories about parenting a college student, listen to administrators discuss academic and student life programs, speak with representatives from various departments, view attire presented in Viking style, catch the ECSU spirit, and savor the flavors of a tailgate lunch - a signature of the American football season.
The football game pitting the ECSU Vikings against the Bowie State University Bull Dogs on Saturday will be a fun feature as families help cheer the mighty Vikings to victory. The highlight of the weekend will be the State of the University Breakfast with the Chancellor on Sunday morning. This will be your time to hear Chancellor Willie J. Gilchrist discuss his vision for ECSU and to ask him your questions about the university.

Registration Information
The registration fee for Parents and Families Weekend is $35 per parent and $15 for each additional family member. Payment may be made by mail or by phone. Please mail your registration form with your payment (made payable to ECSU Foundation) to:
