Mission

The mission of The Department of Pharmacy and Health Professions is to provide high quality undergraduate education and training in the area of pharmaceutical science. This mission is consistent with the mission of Elizabeth City State University and places a priority on teaching, research and community engagement, enabling its graduates to provide world class quality health care services.

The department provides a student-centered environment, to enhance student learning, while preparing its graduates for leadership roles and lifelong learning.

Degree Program and Partnerships

  • The Degree Program in The Department of Pharmacy and Health Professions includes a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
  • The department also provides support for ECSU/UNC-Chapel Hill Doctor of Pharmacy partnership program at ECSU

The Pharmaceutical Science Program prides itself in producing highly qualified graduates able to enter top professional or graduate schools (pharmacy, medicine or pharmaceutical sciences), or pursue careers in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology industry, biomedical industry, health care administration and government agencies.

We are also committed to support mutually beneficial partnerships with local and global organizations to promote sustainable economic, social and cultural growth; and seek to serve the university, local, and professional communities with leadership and distinction.
