As Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to ECSU.

The Division of Academic Affairs has oversight responsibility for all academic policies and programs, and is committed to providing a high quality education that prepares students for rewarding professional careers or further study, and for adaptive learning as productive citizens. The division provides a supportive learning environment for our multi-cultural student population, offers disciplinary and interdisciplinary instruction that employs new technologies and integrates ideas across intellectual boundaries, and supports opportunities for student involvement in undergraduate research and internships.

Faculty members are carefully chosen to include those who have demonstrated excellence in scholarly preparation, research, teaching, and who work creatively and effectively with students. Courses and curricula are revised on a regular basis in response to state, national and accrediting organization recommendations, industry needs, and student interests. The division is committed to mutually beneficial partnerships with local and global organizations to promote economic, social and cultural growth; and seeks to serve university, local and professional communities with leadership and distinction.
