About Us

Multicultural Affairs provides programs and services to enhance success and promote culturally diverse activities that create an appreciation for racial, ethnic and cultural diversity. We seek to aid in the development of a more pluralistic and welcoming environment for all members of the Viking community.

Mission Statement

The mission of Multicultural Affairs is to provide programs and services that encourage intercultural collaboration, foster a sense of self awareness and identity, and create a welcoming, inclusive environment for learning and development that prepares ECSU students for global citizenship.

Also, Multicultural Affairs assists Elizabeth City State University in reaching strategic goals to become more inclusive and diverse by facilitating processes, programs, and policies that promote social justice and enhance cultural competency for students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and community.

The Multicultural Affairs program will celebrate, observe, and honor the varying cultural heritages throughout the year with programming, events and celebrations.
