Student Leadership Development Academy

The initial purpose of the Student Leadership Development Academy, (SDLA) is to first recognize students at Elizabeth City State University who display an array of attributes as it relates to leadership skills and abilities. In addition, the Student Leadership Development Academy will prepare student leaders to maintain, uphold, and aim for leadership roles on campus, in the university community, as well as beyond their collegiate matriculation. Using a variety of delivery methods such as experiential activities, discussion sessions, lectures, workshops, leadership inventories, team building activities, videos and other media resources, the Office of Student Leadership Development and Commuter Services, offers a variety of workshops, training seminars, and speakers on many leadership topics in a variety of formats. Students will be presented with a variety of topics as it relates to being a leader, such as, but not limited to:
