BIOL 303: Parasitology (3) (F;S)
The course is designed to provide up-to-date information on the basic biology, pathology and epidemiology of important human parasites. Topics covered include parasite characteristics, host/parasite interactions, life cycles, distribution, pathogenicity, diagnosis, treatment and control of parasite groups from protozoa to arthropods. The course also explores evolutionary aspects of host-parasite interactions. Lecture: This course is currently offered as Distance Learning.
