SSCI 440: Space Technology and the U.S. Economy (3)
The students will acquire a thorough understanding of the financial and economic rationales for space exploration in the United States. Topics of the course include the budget of NASA, the principles of space business and economics, aerospace initiatives, the NASA Constellation Program, space education, space tourism, space contracts, the commercialization of space, and space project financing and insurance.
Prerequisite: SSCI 101.
