ENGL 305: American Literature I (3) (F)

This survey course emphasizes the continuity of historical and cultural elements in the works of major writers. Special attention will be paid to traditionally under-represented authors: Native American, Spanish American, African-American, and women. This course focuses on the Colonial Period through 1865.

Prerequisites: GE 201, 202, or GE 203H, 204H, ENGL 299.
