PHYS 482: Modern Physics II (3) (S)

The concepts developed in PHYS 481 are further developed in this course. The topics involve X-ray, Compton Effect, pair production, classical quantum theory, Schrödinger equations, quantum mechanical treatment of hydrogen atom and some basic ideas of solid-state physics. Lecture: three hours per week.

Prerequisite: PHYS 481.
