ENGT 340: Network Communication I (3) (F)

This course covers topics from modern communication system. The topics include antenna theory, source coding, signals and systems, carriers and symbol synchronization algorithms, channel capacity and coding, cyclic redundancy checks, adaptive equalization, multichannel and multicarrier systems, modulation schemes: ASK, PSK, FSK, and GMSK, optical fiber communications, dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM). (2hrs lecture, 2hrs lab)
