Identity Standards and Guidelines

ECSU Branding

The ECSU institutional identity standards apply to all communications created by divisions, schools, departments, units and programs to represent the university internally or externally. The Elizabeth City State University Brand Book: Identity Standards and Guidelines outlines the institutional identity standards and the publication guidelines and procedures for the university. Use of any ECSU identity logos and marks by partners and outside organizations should be consistent with the university's standards. Merchandise created by vendors should also comply with ECSU's identity standards.

The Brand Book is below. The guide provides all graphics standards for ECSU's colors, logos, marks and tagline. The guide also provides standards and guidelines for business cards, stationery, fonts, clothing, signage, and promotional items (merchandise). Additionally, the guide provides the university's brand structure and templates for mailing labels, notepads, Fax cover sheet, PowerPoint presentations, name badges and email signatures.

Guidelines for student use of ECSU identity logos and marks, including use for classroom assignments, are included in the guide. (Page 21)

You may read the "Publication Production Process and Approval" guidelines on pages 15-17.
