Gwen Cooper, Administrative Support Associate and Traffic Director

Melba SmithGwendolyn Cooper is the Administrative Support Associate and Traffic Director for WRVS-FM/HD Radio. Gwen has an Associate Applied Science Degree (Executive Secretary) from Wilson County Community College and a Bachelor of Social Work Degree (BSW) from Elizabeth City State University where she graduated with high honors (Suma Cum Laude). During her time at ECSU, she was also inducted into the Pi Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Honor Society.

Gwen has been employed at Elizabeth City State University since 2002. Prior to joining the WRVS family, she was the Administrative Support Associate for the McNair Scholars Program for ten (10) years and received extensive training in assisting and preparing undergraduate research students for postgraduate school admissions. She possesses over thirty (30) years of office management skills with an extensive knowledge of administrative support functions, university procedures and bookkeeping strategies. Additionally, Gwen is computer literate, proficient in numerous software programs and is highly capable of organizing and maintaining an efficient office by juggling multiple tasks and projects. She is a firm believer of adhering to social, ethical and organizational codes and takes prompt action in accomplishing objectives and achieving goals. A team player, Gwen interacts well with her colleagues as well as with students and customers.
