Our Work
We take a place-based, cradle-to-career approach to ensure that all youth in rural places succeed, starting with kindergarten readiness and continuing to a fulfilling career.
Our Big Bold Vision
All rural children and youth are on the path to postsecondary success, because we know that is the surest path to upward mobility.
Goals & Objectives
- Organize a cohort of NC HBCUs to launch a national service program.
- Increase funding necessary to build organizational capacity.
- Leverage the national service model to create more workforce development opportunities for students.
- Provide civic experiences that contribute to the overall advancement of rural communities.
- Advance education attainment and leadership skills that produce better student outcomes

Eligibility
Must be a North Carolina Historically Black College & University (HBCU) to apply.
Dates
March 15, 2024 – Release of RFP (Request for Proposals):
April 8, 2024 – Deadline to submit grant application.
April 28 – May 1, 2024 – Partners for Rural Impact – Rural Summit (Lexington, KY) www.partnersrural.org
